The true reason for this page is to present my story. You see, I have a spinal cord injury which left me a quadriplegic on September 11, 1995. If you click on the link above labeled, "The Test of a Lifetime", you will find my story. But, before I am a quadriplegic I am a born again Christian. Now, the truth is that that term has been so misused until it means nothing of what Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3. How do you become a born again Christian? Well, first of all, let Jesus make it clear to all that "Ye must be born again." He said nothing about joining a religion, saying a ritual prayer, or performing some act. He clearly said "that which is born of the flesh is flesh; that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit." It is a 100% spiritual decision between you as a sinner and a Holy God. I have written here what I believe is a clear, comprehensive presentation of the Gospel. Please, won't you take a moment of your time and read this? It may change your life, but if you follow the instructions, it WILL change your eternity.

First, I want to ask you a question, "If you died today, do you know 100% sure you would go to Heaven?" Now I know that is a loaded question, and your first response would be, "Well, you really cannot know that sure, besides I am a good person." Well, you may "feel like you have made a true statement there, but, we are not going to base anything from this point on based on what we think. We are going to base everything on what the Bible says. You see, if you asked me, "Randy, how do I get to your house?" I would tell you that I live west of I-394 in Chicago Heights, just off Joe Or Road" Now, you may say to me, I do not believe that so I will go east on Joe Orr road and since I am on the same road, well, I'll probably get there. Well, there is something wrong here. No, you will not get to my house if you go east on Joe Orr Road. You may be on the same road as I am traveling, but you are headed in the wrong direction. You may be sincere about the direction you are traveling, and have the best intentions of getting to my house, but if you do not follow my directions, you will not get to my house.

Such is the case with Heaven. It is God's home. He gave clear instructions about how to get there. You may be sincere in how you are traveling there, but if you are not following His instructions, you will not get there. Those with the best of intentions and devoted sincerity will find themselves in Hell some day. And besides, it is really quite simple. Please read on and you will see. Again, Let me ask you a question,

If you died today Do you know 100% sure you would go to Heaven?

  Wow! What a question! No one wants to think of dying, yet  we all know that it is one thing that happens to the young and the old. So, if your time came are you 100% sure that you would spend your eternity in Heaven? Some say that we really cannot know for sure. This is quite contrary to God=s Word. In I John 5:13  the Bible says,"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life..." So God=s purpose for writing the Bible was so that we could be assured that Heaven could be our home! How does one get to Heaven? This has been a subject discussed and argued for centuries. Yet, the truth is, God wrote the plan very clearly in His book, the Bible. Please read on carefully as I show you God=s plan for salvation.
First, we have a PROBLEM. The Bible says in Romans 3:10,"As it is written, there is none righteous(perfect), no, not one:" That is simple! It says that no one is perfect! In verse 23 of the same chapter it says,"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" We must be willing to admit that WE ARE SINNERS. We do wrong by choice. We lie, steal, think wrong thoughts, and commit a number of other sins by choice. We choose to sin. We do not have to do wrong, but we do. So, are you a sinner? Yes, we all are.     
Secondly, we have the PUNISHMENT for sin. In Romans 6:23, the Bible says, "For the wages(payment) of sin is death...." We are all destined to die, but this is not the end. In Revelation 21:8, the Bible clearly states,"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."      
So the first death is physical; the second death is forever! But, you say, God would not make a place so terrible for man to go just for sinning. God is a God of Love! You are exactly right. God did not make Hell for man; He made it for one person and his followers. In Matthew 25:41, the Bible says, "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the Devil and his angels:" Hell was made for the Devil for his rebellion against God before man was created. Then, God made man and gave him the free will to stay perfect or rebel against God and sin. Man chose to sin, placing MAN under the same punishment as the DEVIL.    
God never intended for man to go to Hell. Your CHOICE  to sin has placed you under this condemnation. Just as it only takes one killing to be a murderer, so it only takes one lie to be a liar! So, according to Revelation 21:8, if you died right now, having told one lie, where would you spend eternity? In a Hell never intended for you!   
So, we have a PROBLEM-sin. We also have a PUNISHMENT due for that sin. Now, the good news. Jesus has made the PURCHASE for your eternity! In Romans 5:8,9 we read, "But God commendeth (proves) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him (Jesus)."    
God IS a God of love! In fact, He loves you so much that He was willing to give His only Son, Jesus, as the ransom for YOUR sins. God saw that you were a sinner and bound for an eternal Hell, and He provided a way for you to get to Heaven instead. He sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to live a perfect life. Jesus was then wrongly accused at the hands of wicked men, tried, and punished for your sins. While on the cross, He took your sins on Himself and was actually rejected by the Father as He did! He died, was buried, and arose from the dead after 3 days and nights, conquering death. He then took His own blood to the Father, as the Old Testament priest did, and offered His blood as the final Atonement for man=s sins.      This is what paid the price for your sins-not confession, baptism, The Lord=s Supper, a priest, being a member of a church or religion- NOTHING ELSE!
So, it=s simple. You are a sinner. You are responsible for the punishment for your sins, an eternity in Hell. Jesus has already paid the penalty for your sins. So, what do you need to do?
This question was asked of the Apostle Paul in a prison in Philippi. In Acts 16: 30, the jailor simply asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Paul responded in the next verse with,"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."  Notice he did not say to believe IN Jesus. Rather, he said believe ON Him. This means to trust Him.     
Romans 10:9,10 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
This is how simple it is. If you are willing to admit that you are a sinner and that you  deserve to go to Hell for your sins, and if you believe that Jesus has already paid for your sins, you can have the assurance of knowing that, taking God at His Word, you are 100% guaranteed of getting to Heaven by simply trusting Jesus as your ONLY way to Heaven,
Right now, bow your head and tell God that you want to be saved. Perhaps a sincere prayer like this:    
"Dear God, I know that I am a sinner, and I realize that, because of my sin, I deserve to go to Hell forever. Now I know that Jesus has already paid for my sins and now I sincerely trust Him only as my way to Heaven, God, be merciful to me a sinner and save my soul and take me to Heaven. Thank you for saving me"

If you sincerely meant this, you will go to Heaven according to God=s Word! Praise the Lord for a simple salvation! Just think, if you would have died just moments ago, you would have spent an eternity in Hell, but now, because you=ve taken God at His word, you have secured a place in Heaven.
Just how secure is this salvation? Great question! And as always, the Bible has the answer.  John 10:27-29 says, "My sheep hear my voice,(That=s you. You now belong to God!) and I know them, (God knows YOU personally) and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life;(Remember, God GAVE you Heaven. You could not earn it) and they shall never perish,(NEVER!!!!) neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, (God Almighty!) which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father=s hand."    
This means that your eternity is as secure as the hand of the God who holds the world in place. Nothing can take your salvation from you. You will still sin-probably today-yet once you are a child of God, you are ALWAYS a child of God. You never have to get saved again.
