The story:

On September 11, 1995, I was a paint contractor, the husband of the greatest wife in the world, and the father of three great children. I was painting a house in Flossmoor, Illinois when I fell about 17 feet from a plank and left me a quadriplegic.

 

God has been so good these many years. I have had so many opportunities to help those who are struggling with injuries. Thus, God has given me the insight to produce two books. The links to these books are at the top of the page.

 

The Test of a Lifetime

 

This is an account of the life before I fell, the circumstances about the fall, and a accounts of my life that have occurred since the fall. You will cry, you will laugh. But, most of all, you will be encouraged to know that everything is a part of God’s perfect plan for your life.

 

The Ministry of Suffering

 

If I wanted to have a happy marriage, I would have no trouble finding good books to guide me from my dating years all the way through my golden years as an “empty nester.” If I wanted to raise good children, I would have access to hundreds of books on raising good children to become good adults.

 

But, when it comes to suffering, it seems we are all left to figure out what to do. God has a unique ministry. It is imparted to those to whom He knows He will receive glory. It is the ministry of suffering. Just as the ministry of being a pastor, missionary, or teacher, God chooses certain people to suffer for the benefit of others.

 

This book will look at suffering from God’s point of view. You will see that suffering is not a punishment or a random occurrence God has overlooked. You will see suffering as a divinely appointed ministry. You will see how God has planned to use you in a unique way as a minister of suffering. You will also find Biblical principles of suffering the correct way as a minister of suffering.
